چکیده
This study aims to develop a novel low-heat cement slurry using phase change microcapsule additives reduce the decomposition of hydrate-bearing sediments during cementing. Microcapsules were prepared by coating mixed alkanes with polymethyl methacrylate, and lipophilic-modified graphite was incorporated enhance thermal conductivity microcapsules. The effects microcapsules upon hydration heat, pore distribution, compressive strength slurry/stone studied through variety tests. results showed that phase-change temperature, enthalpy, encapsulation efficiency 8.99–16.74 °C, 153.58 Jg−1, 47.2%, respectively. introduction reduced initial temperature 0.49 indicating an improvement in their sensitivity. maximum heat decreased 41.3% 7% dosage microcapsules; proposed outperformed comparable additives. Moreover, presence could number large pores (and thereby improve of) stone. innovation this is it comprehensively intuitively confirms feasibility application MPCM as key hydrate rather than just focusing on reduction heat; furthermore, self-made cementing device developed simulate process deposition. show regulation inhibited increase rate slurry, significantly reducing damage caused hydrate. These findings should safety quality offshore oil gas well applications.

Effect of Using Nano Encapsulated Phase Change Material on Thermal Performance of Micro Heat Sink
The aim of this paper is to enhance thermal performance of a microchannel heat sink by using nanoencapsulated phase change material (NEPCM) slurry as a cooling fluid instead of pure fluid. A threedimensional model of a circular channel using water slurry of NEPCM was developed. The results show a significant reduction in the mean fluid temperature along the channel and heat sink wall temperatu...
متن کاملPhysical property changes in hydrate-bearing sediment due to depressurization and subsequent repressurization
Physical property measurements of sediment cores containing natural gas hydrate are typically performed on material exposed at least briefly to non-in situ conditions during recovery. To examine effects of a brief excursion from the gas-hydrate stability field, as can occur when pressure cores are transferred to pressurized storage vessels, we measured physical properties on laboratory-formed s...

Heat Transfer Analysis of Methane Hydrate Sediment Dissociation in a Closed Reactor by a Thermal Method
The heat transfer analysis of hydrate-bearing sediment involved phase changes is one of the key requirements of gas hydrate exploitation techniques. In this paper, experiments were conducted to examine the heat transfer performance during hydrate formation and dissociation by a thermal method using a 5L volume reactor. This study simulated porous media by using glass beads of uniform size. Sixt...
متن کاملFeasibility of Using Phase Change Materials to Control the Heat of Hydration in Massive Concrete Structures
This paper presents experimental results that can be applied to select a possible phase change material (PCM), such as a latent heat material (LHM), to control the hydration heat in mass concrete structures. Five experimental tests (microconduction, simplified adiabatic temperature rise, heat, and compressive strength tests) were conducted to select the most desirable LHM out of seven types of ...
